ANYBODY can achieve the body and lifestyle that they want.  It isn’t just for the “special ones” or the people who were born with it.  YOU have the power to change your behaviors to lead to a healthier, happier, and more confident life!  I believe that our mindset drives everything in life. Learn to push yourself, let go of your excuses, and love yourself at every stage of your journey - and this will become a lifestyle instead of a phase.  I coach, encourage, and walk alongside my clients to become their best physically and mentally.

Movement brings me back to myself... As I look through my life and where my passion for health and fitness started, it was in those moments where I was searching within for purpose.  What am I good at, what do I enjoy and what can I give away:  People and movement seem to always rise to the top of my list regardless if it is working as a personal trainer, chiropractic assistant, physical therapy assistant or group exercise instructor.

And after 3 back to back accidents, I grew to appreciate the body in a much different way.  Movement helped me work through the pain, break through the restrictions and create a new normal.  We are so much more than our body and once we create that connection within, we can create the change on the outside as well.  Consistency is the key and change is constant.

I help people move better, be strong, and feel confident. I've helped clients return from injuries, improve their running technique, lift weights properly, feel more balanced, and move with less pain. I'd love to help you do the same.

Chronic pain has been a significant influence on who I am as a fitness professional. I spent years with various aches and pains (particularly low-back pain) and it was awful! The upside is that I was pushed to learn about pain science and corrective exercise. I’ve overcome these roadblocks and I recognize every day how fortunate I am.

I developed my love of strength training while playing football in high school and college. From there I’ve become involved in road and trail running, road and mountain biking, and skiing. Working with dedicated athletes is wonderful but I truly love to work with those who are new to exercise.

Benjamin Franklin discussed the idea of “doing well by doing good.” That’s exactly what being an exercise professional is about. Helping others find health and fulfillment offers rewards far beyond money.

Our health needs to be in balance with the rest of of our life in order to achieve the things we want, in or out of the gym.  Everyone gets busy and looses some of their focus on health and we do not feel the consequences till they are drastic. Then we start thinking we cannot do it so, we do not try, or are afraid to try and fail. Failure is what you want during your workouts, not in life.  Failure challenges your body and makes you better.

I sum up training for myself and clients with two quotes. "The day you stop trying to improve, is the day you start to die."  Trying to just maintain is a slow slide backwards.  You may never be able to do the superstar things a 18 year old can, but you can do more than just go through the motions.

"Winners ask for help, losers hide in the shadows". No one can always do it alone and our only competition is with ourselves to improve. Asking for help with an injury, a new program or goal is not a weakness, but shows a desire to succeed. Allow me the privilege to be part of your success.

Born and raised outside Chicago, my passion for training and fitness stems from my own journey with staying fit as well as dealing with injuries I acquired from to skateboarding and other extreme sports earlier on in life. Because of these injuries, I've dealt with low back pain much of my adult life and have found ways to mitigate and minimize that pain through training and want to help others who deal with back/joint pain. I believe that through movement and progression quality of life can be drastically increased. Let me help you move and progress so you can continue to do what you love in and outside of the gym!

My journey into the realm of coaching originally stemmed from being miserable working a 9 to 5 job at a desk, that was really more like 7a to 7p. My work was getting in the way of my well being, and I vowed to make a move to have a better work/life balance. In my research for a new career, I stumbled upon a statistic that highlighted Personal Trainers as having one of the highest rates of job satisfaction that was out there. I had always been involved in at least one sport since I was very young- and sometimes multiple sports- that overlapped seasons, so I decided to consider making a drastic career change to sports coaching. It was the greatest decision I ever could have made. I truly am happiest giving another human (or humans) the support they need to be the best version of themselves that they can be. I thrive on working on achieving a goal with my clients, and watching them revel in their accomplishments. The self pride and self confidence I get to witness, that comes out of my clients is my favorite part of my day. My singular goal in working with each client is to show them that they are so much stronger and so much more capable than they think they are, then help them surpass their perceived potential, ten-fold. I can help you, with hard work and dedication, to be the very best version of yourself you can be. Let's DO this.
